Mama Deb

(no subject)

Today was much better.

I was late to work (again) but this time it was okay. I saw my lady on the bus for the first time in over two months. This is a woman who gets off the bus one stop after I get on - a sweet bewigged person who works at one of our many local Yeshivot. And she thinks I'm...happy and sunny and smiley because I'm always smiling when I get on the bus. This is because, "Yay, the bus is here!", but that's okay. We chatted until her stop and it was nice.

And then one stop later, someone else gets on. Her name is Chava, and she's sweet and lovely. She also has Down Syndrome, but she functions on a very high and independent level. And last night, her boyfriend proposed to her. :))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

I'm not to breathe a word until he has a chance to speak to her grandmother (in fact, not biology - the woman who raised her as opposed to her biological family), whose dearest dream is to see her under a wedding canopy. That's tonight.

And. I smiled over that all the way to work.

Work was less frustrating because the LAN was fixed - I can now print from my computer. Also, by the time I finished lunch, we had net connection again.

I have a mountain of listings to enter and I haven't started yet, but at least that's done.

I played two hands of Hearts and no Spider at all. I am happy.
