Not mine. Right now, I'm feeling more or less positive about my body. I'm still fat - I'll always be fat - but under the fat is firm muscle and that makes me feel good because I built that muscle.

It's my Pakua master, an 18 year old girl, who is 5'7" and weighs maybe 140lbs, and who was called fat yesterday because her shirt revealed a slight belly. You know, the one a woman is supposed to have when she has the normal layer of fat? The one that the fashion industry has declared bad and you have to be anorexic to get rid of, or at least disrupt your hormone cycles?

She's strong and athletic and very powerful. She teaches several classes a week and takes even more. But she's fat because she doesn't look like a stick.

Grrr.

Man, that's wrong.

I'm about 5'7", and if I weighted 140 I'd look gaunt. I was starting to look odd at 155. I'm guessing we're from different gene pools - bone structure and all.

The slight belly on healthy girls is appropriate, attractive, and good. Curves are good. Guys who don't know that have been permanently messed up by society. Grrr to society!

aViva Sedai, who feels much closer to Rubenesque than she prefers.

I think we should all do our best to bring Rubenesque back into fashion, you know? I used to do anorexia and now I'm just happy to be alive. Maybe we can sell t-shirts?

Sigh.

Girlbelly = cute.

agreed... society is sick

btw, thanks for turning me onto fanfiction.net. i've been reading all day!!!!!!!!1 i love it!!!!!!!!!!! i'm reading the harry potter wizard of oz one now :)

Foolish mortals, who have no idea of what perfection is, prefer straight lines (or concave gauntness).

Oh, well -- more for the rest of us to admire! :-)

I'm still fat - I'll always be fat - but under the fat is firm muscle and that makes me feel good because I built that muscle.

I hear ya. And that muscle just feels good in and of itself.

Underneath my belly's cushion of comfortable fat lies a six-pack of steel!
