Yes!!

Today, a *private* space craft achieved 62 miles above the Earth's surface.

I'm crying and grinning and I just want to shout out loud, but no one here would even understand.

Wow. That's completely fantastic.

Thank you for the link.

When I was watching the morning news I felt like I was living inside a Heinlein book. And I was the guy in "Requiem..." Don't care, it's past time this happened! They showed a kid with stars in his eyes, you could just tell. If I can't go, I'm ecstatic that he might!

Delos Harriman would be proud.

So would Mr. Heinlein.

Yay! My daughter and my husband were so excited about that (me too!) Thanks for reminding me.

Oh, believe me, I understand.

*snogs Burt Rutan*

P.S. - Nat was pointing out the travel time on that. Nice, eh? A 2-hour jaunt to space and back.

Now, of course, we build a *real* space station and get it right.

And *then* we build on the Moon.

Only 30 years late.

I've been grinning to myelf all day, too, with no one to explain the joy. ARGH.

WOOHOO!
