If you see a post with a poem, post a poem yourself. Gacked from many people

maggie and milly and molly and may

maggie and milly and molly and may
went down to the beach(to play one day)

and maggie discovered a shell that sang
so sweetly she couldn't remember her troubles, and

milly befriended a stranded star
whose rays five languid fingers were;

and molly was chased by a horrible thing
which raced sideways while blowing bubbles:and

may came home with a smooth round stone
as small as the world and as large as alone.

For whatever we lose(like a you or a me)
it's always ourselves we find in the sea

e.e. cummings

Oooh! I really need to acquire a complete e.e. cummings collection.

I had to do a google search for this one.

I have one and that poem's always been one of my favorites!

Mine, too.

I've always identified with may.

I bring home stones too. I have a whole pile of them. This was my first encounter with the poem, though. (I've known "what if a much of a which of a wind" forever, though.)

She understood that worlds were small and alone was large.

Wow, I love e.e. cummings and I don't think I'd ever read that poem. It's great! *off to post a poem*
